Parent or guardian details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
Player details: name, birthdate, grade, school, and shirt size.
Emergency contacts: names and phone numbers of people we can reach in an emergency.
Payment information: payments are processed through TeamSnap and its payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on site, the site that referred you, and general location (city or region). See Section 6 for details.
Photos, video, and audio. We and our photographer capture photos, video, and audio at our games, practices, and events. See Section 4.
To register players, place them in divisions and on teams, and run practices, games, and events.
To send league updates such as schedules, reminders, weather changes, and important announcements.
To process registration payments and refunds.
To reach emergency contacts if needed.
To provide team photos and share event highlights.
To understand how people use our website and improve it.
To show relevant ads about our programs on other websites and apps (see Section 6).
In the future, to send newsletters and news about new programs. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To keep our programs safe, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Our games, practices, and events are photographed, filmed, and recorded, including by our professional photographer, Felix Cruz of Pine Valley Studios. Accepting our registration terms includes consent for your player to be photographed, filmed, and recorded. Spectators who attend our events also consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded.
We may use this content on our website, on social media (such as Instagram and Facebook), and in materials that promote our programs. We do not include a player’s last name, school, or contact details with photos we post publicly.
Opting out: if you would prefer that your family not be photographed or recorded, email info@sdyouthsports.com with your name and your player’s name and team. We will do our best to honor your request at future events, and we will remove posted content of your child from our own website and social media accounts on request.
We send league updates by email and text message using TeamSnap and GoHighLevel. Today our messages are league updates. In the future we may also send newsletters and promotional messages. If we do, we will ask for any consent the law requires, and every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link.
Text messages: message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help at any time. If you opt out, you may miss important league updates, so please keep an eye on your email.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We use the following tools on our website:
Framer Analytics: basic website traffic statistics.
Google Analytics: to understand how visitors use our site.
Google Ads: to show and measure our ads on Google.
Meta Pixel: to show and measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
TikTok Pixel: to show and measure our ads on TikTok.
These partners may set cookies or use similar technology to recognize your browser across websites and apps, and may use the information under their own privacy policies. This lets us show ads about our programs to people who have visited our site. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws may treat this kind of advertising as “sharing” personal information; you can opt out as described below.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, adjust Facebook and Instagram ad preferences in your Meta account settings, adjust TikTok ad preferences in the TikTok app, and visit optout.aboutads.info. You can also email us to opt out of advertising-related sharing.
Do Not Track: some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for these signals, our website does not currently respond to them.
We never sell or rent your contact lists or your child’s information. We share information only as needed to run our programs:
TeamSnap: our registration, payment, and team management platform.
Payment processors: used by TeamSnap to process payments securely.
GoHighLevel: our email and text messaging platform.
Coaches and volunteers: player names, team rosters, and emergency contacts so they can run their teams safely.
Pine Valley Studios: our photographer, to take and deliver team photos.
Website, analytics, and advertising partners: Framer, Google, Meta, and TikTok, as described in Section 6.
Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the safety of players, families, staff, or the public.
Business changes: if SDYS is merged, sold, or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Our programs serve children, but our website and registration are designed for parents and guardians. All registration information about a player is provided by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 online. If you believe a child has sent us personal information directly, email us and we will delete it.
Parents and guardians can review, update, or ask us to delete their child’s information at any time by emailing info@sdyouthsports.com.
We keep registration information while your family is active with us and for up to three years after your player’s last season, so we can handle returning registrations, records, and any questions or claims. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Signed waivers and any injury or incident reports are kept until the player turns 21, and at least four years after the season, so we can respond to any legal claims. Photos and video posted publicly may remain online unless you ask us to remove them.
We use trusted platforms with industry-standard security, limit access to people who need it to run our programs, and ask coaches and volunteers to use player information only for league purposes. No method of storing or sending information is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your family’s information.
You can contact us at any time to:
Ask what information we have about you or your player.
Correct or update information.
Ask us to delete information (we may need to keep some records for legal or safety reasons).
Opt out of marketing emails and texts, photos, or advertising-related sharing.
Email info@sdyouthsports.com. We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request, and we aim to respond within 45 days. We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
California residents may have additional rights under California law, including the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. To the extent these laws apply to us, you can use these rights by emailing info@sdyouthsports.com, and you may use an authorized agent to make a request for you.
California’s “Shine the Light” law lets residents ask whether we shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing in the past year. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Our website links to other services, including TeamSnap, Instagram, and Facebook. Their privacy practices are covered by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to read them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If we make important changes, we will let families know by email or with a notice on our website.
